FFR Spoiler Tournament 2026
Rules & Guidance
Welcome to the first ever 2026 FFR Spoiler Tournament. This tournament is meant to test your knowledge of being able to read and parse a spoiler log as well as finish the game as fast as possible while being given knowledge of a seed. The spoiler tournament will consist of five (5) async races, followed by a Best of 1 (Bo1), single elimination bracket stage of either the top four (4) or eight (8) racers depending on the number of participants in the tournament. The more racers, the larger the bracket. We invite all interested players to come and join and test your skills of being given all the knowledge. The tournament will follow the General Rules and Guidance for Tournaments and Leagues unless specifically said otherwise in this tournament rules.
Tournament Structure:
During the first weeks, the tournament will be open to all racers. Once the first five (5) async are over, points will be totaled and the top four (4) or eight (8) racers will then move into Semi-Finals/Quarterfinals. They then compete in during the next two or three weeks. The bracket stage of the tournament will consist of Best of One series. The winner will advance on to the next round until only one spoiler champion remains.
During the async races runners will be given 72 hours to complete the seeds, once they are announced. The run must be streamed on Twitch or recorded offline and submitted via YouTube. Once a racer has submitted their time with a vod of the run, that time is locked and final.
Once the tournament hits the bracket stage, it will become a 1-v-1 Bo1 series. Seeding will be based off of final scores at the end of week six. Racers will find a time to schedule a live race. Once a day and time is agreed upon, the racers will be given their seed and spoiler log 48 hours prior to the start of their race.
Scoring:
Traditionally when scoring is involved with FFR races, a scoring bin system is used. However, for this tournament the scoring will be a Mario Kart style system. Only the top 75% of racers will receive points, while the bottom 25%/DNR/DNF racers will receive zero (0) points. This is done because it is extremely likely a lot of racers will be put into bins one and two with extremely few in bin three. Bin scoring will cause a large number of ties within the top four or eight when it comes down to brackets and seeding selection.

Important Dates:
If a quarterfinals is not needed, the semifinals and finals rounds will be moved up a week.
