Winter 2022 DAB Mini-Tournament
Rules & Guidance
For our mini-DAB tournament, all rules and policies will generally follow the 2022 Winter DAB tournament.
About the Tournament:
For those unfamiliar, DAB features not only players running an FFR seed, but a Bingo board on the side. A few minutes before the match, each player will look at the board and be given a row that they MUST complete, either by their opponent or in the case of a 4+ player match, the required row will be chosen by tournament admins not participating in the race (JShydell/LuffyDV) or the Marathon Host.
Players will then be tasked with (a) completing the line selected by their opponent, (b) completing (at least) one additional line, and (c) killing Chaos only after both lines have been completed. Players can venture anywhere in the world of the seed, including into the Temple of Fiends Revisited, but they are not allowed to kill Chaos until their Bingo lines are complete.

Additional Guidance
Format:
Depending on the number of participants, the format will change slightly. We have been given 4.5 hours to play 3 games of DAB.

We have the ability to restream 4 players per match. It is our goal to give as many people the chance to be restreamed as possible. Due to the limited time frame, the restream for the first two matches will conclude after the necessary players for the next round have finished, or 80 minutes as elapsed. Whichever is longer. After 80 minutes, if no winner has been declared, the player with the most bingos will win the match.
In the event of a tie, the player with the most squares lit will win. In the event of a further tie, the runners will be notified via Bingo Chat, and the next player to light a square will win.
Post-game interviews/discussions may be shortened or skipped if time requires. Players may choose to finish their seed off-stream if desired.
Requirements for Participants
- All participants must follow the Requirement for Participants as found on the FFR Rando Marathon Winter 2022 guidance.
- Standard “Tournament Rules” will remain in effect
- Players should not hang out in any chat other than their own.
- Players may not hang out in the opponent's stream, or watch the restream.
- Players should avoid outside assistance - such as from a chat window.
- The “Tournament Safe ROM” Flag will be on, so plan sprites accordingly.
This mini-tournament is all for fun and charity. All participants are expected to play in good-faith understanding of the guidelines.
