Castlevania 2 Overworld Reinterpreted:
Inspired by the hand drawn maps of Wallachia packed into with Castlevania 2, this map makes a version of Wallachia that is playable in FFR. Some artistic license was taken to make a playable, interesting experience.
Dragon Warrior Overworld:
The original Dragon Warrior overworld translated into Final Fantasy tiles. Some smoothing and artistic liberties taken to make the map look right with Final Fantasy graphics. As much of the original intent of the overworld map as possible has been maintained in this new form.
Final Fantasy 2 Overworld:
Due to the layout of the map, expect to do a lot of walking before you get any checks at all, and even more before finding a vehicle. This map will require you to loop around the map on foot a lot. Recommended to start with Canal, because this item serves no purpose whatsoever otherwise.
FF4 Overworld:
A fun interpretation of Final Fantasy 4's overworld, but with a Final Fantasy 1 twist.
Final Fantasy 5 Overworld:
This is based on the late-game map from FF5. Remember the guy that asks you to go around the whole world on a chocobo? I hope you know that route, because you'll be taking that everywhere until you have the ship or airship.
FF6 World of Balance:
A fun interpretation of Final Fantasy 6's early game overworld, but with a Final Fantasy 1 twist.
FFR Dark World:
A revamped twist on the classic FF1 map, this version alters much of the terrain, shifting locations around while moving many familiar places to unfamilar areas. It puts a greater emphasis on walking the main continent while also enticing switching up the usual incentive locations.
Super Mario World:
This map is loosely (very loosely) based on Super Mario World. Once you have either ship or bridge and canoe, most of the world is open.
Zelda 1 Overworld:
A recreation of the original Zelda 1 overworld, done in Final Fantasy style. Some liberties taken to make it work within the bounds of FF1's map engine.
