Welcome to Final Fantasy Randomizer (FFR), a game that takes the original Final Fantasy and, yes, randomizes it. If you’re new to the game, the community, and the whole FFR experience, you’re going to want to learn all that you can. We have a number of resources across this wiki and our YouTube channel that can help you learn the ins and outs of particulars for the game, but before we can get you into all that, we first need to make sure that you have a baseline understanding of Final Fantasy and the randomizer. This guide will go over everything you need to know to get into the randomized game.
This guide is broken into parts, covering the basic stages of the game, from character creation, to your first visit into town, and then the journey around the world. Each step will cover the basics – how to do things, what those things mean, and what you should expect as you move forward – and then we will provide more advanced information (for you to use past your first playthrough), additional features of the randomizer, and external resources that can provide even more information you may find useful. Use this guide to learn the game, and then again when you come back and are interested in even more things you can do to alter the randomizer experience.
